Digital Technology

Hillcrest Christian College is leading the way in educational innovation, and changing the landscape of conventional schooling. Hillcrest recently won the Educator Magazine's Innovative Schools Award in 2017 for incorporating digital technologies, creative classroom design, and innovative pedagogy and programs.

Our Junior Learning Community offers a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program, providing students with the opportunity to bring a device to school for personalised learning. The use of such preferred devices are seen by the College as another learning resource that makes up the rich tapestry of tools available to all students.

Our Senior Learning Community introduced a one2one Device Program for students in Years 7 and 10 in 2018, which supplies students in these year levels with a Microsoft Surface Book 2, Stylus pen and the relevant software, for a three-year period. Our one2one program ensures that students can enjoy the many educational benefits of utilising one type of device in the classroom. The cost of this program is added to the College Fees for all Year 7 and 10 students.
