Ava Usher recently competed for the Queensland School Girl's team at the National School's Basketball Championship in Bendigo. After winning through to the Grand Final, the Queensland team faced a tough Victorian team who were undefeated throughout the pool rounds. The Queensland team produced some scintillating plays during the final but were defeated by the Victorian team. It caps off another Queensland team that Ava has made in 2019, and the silver medal was even more special as Ava was the highest point scorer during the grand final. Ava, you are truly a great sport ambassador for Hillcrest Christian College and we wish you well for the remainder of 2019.
