On Friday, 2 August, the Year 11 Biology classes travelled to Brisbane to visit the Queensland Institute for Medical Research and the Integrated Pathology Learning Centre run by UQ. Students had the opportunity to see several thousand embalmed human organs both diseased and normal, along with finding out which natural products could be used as antimicrobials.
