Over the first five weeks of Term 3, Hillcrest welcomed over 100 students from our international sister schools.
- Year 7 and 8 welcomed students from the Catholic Dioceses of Hong Kong
- Year 9 and 10 welcomed students from Fuji High School, Tokyo
- Year 11 welcomed students from Tsushima High School, Tokyo
Our sister schools visited for 2-3 weeks each, and enjoyed a range of activities with our students. These included excursions to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Sea World; Ice cream sundaes and pizza parties; ESL and Australian Cultural lessons; Aboriginal art lessons; ANZAC cookie baking practise, and cricket lessons.
The highlights for our visiting students was the chance to get to know their Hillcrest buddies, and joining them in classes as they learned about Australian schooling. They also enjoyed visiting our JLC classes and interacting with the younger students in our College.
Thanks to all the Hillcrest students, teachers and College community for showing our impressive Hillcrest hospitality to these special guests.
