Our Year 6 student, Olivia Soegaard, has been competing on her horse Sarova Park Paparazzi (Paris) in several Interschool Equestrian events this year. Her preferred disciplines are Dressage, Show Jumping and Combined Training (a two-phase event comprising of both Dressage and Show Jumping), and Olivia has successfully achieved wins and placings in all of her 2019 events.
Over the recent Easter school holidays, Olivia competed in the Southeast Queensland Regional Championships, where she won the Primary Championship in the Combined Training section, and placed Third Overall in the Primary Novice Dressage section. Olivia has now qualified to compete at the State Championships in the discipline of Combined Training, which is an incredible achievement.
Olivia and Paris' busy schedule includes training for and competing in a number of upcoming competitions throughout the year, where the ambitious young athlete hopes to also qualify in the Eventing discipline (a three-phase competition comprising Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping).
