SLC Cross Country Carnival 2019

Recent heavy rains made for some fun running conditions around the muddy 2km bush track for our 2019 SLC Cross Country Carnival. The highly-anticipated annual event held on Friday, 26 April, finished our first week of Term 2 on a high, and took place on the Hillcrest Oval. The incredible day was perfectly run by our senior Year level group, and included a gritty cross country race, tug-o-sponge with soaked flying sponges, and the much-loved ultimate relays.

Once again, we were treated to an extra large dose of camaraderie and competitive House Spirit, and enjoyed seeing many daring dress ups which included tutus from Taylor, cowboys on horseback from Carmichael, soldiers from Greene and pilots from Flynn.

Congratulations to the mighty Greene house, who won the Cross Country trophy, and Flynn who took home the House Spirit award. Congratulations also to our 2019 Age Champions and to all students who participated and modeled great sportsmanship.

We would like to thank all teachers, parents and students who supported the event and we look forward to another exciting day at our upcoming Athletics Carnival in Week 6.
