Students Excel at State Secondary School Surf Finals

On Thursday, 14 March, our Surf Lifesaving students had a great day at the UQ Queensland Secondary School Surf League State Final Championships. The Secondary School Surf League encompasses activities relating to ocean swimming, beach sprints and flags, board paddling and surf rescue disciplines, and students from many regions across Queensland took part in regional competitions at the end of 2018, with the Cup contested by schools from around Queensland in the finals, on Thursday, 14 March in Broadbeach.

Our Hillcrest Students Achieved the Following Great Results:
  • The U13's won the Cameron Relay and our U15s and 16+ both came 5th
  • Keeley Wood came 1st in Board 
  • Ava Usher came 2nd in Flags
  • Hugo Vitiello came 2nd in Swim
  • Olivia Parnaby came 4th in Board
  • Ava Usher, Noah Parnaby, Hugo Vitiello, Keeley Wood and Olivia Parnaby all topped 8 in both swim and board.
