Students Head to America for Tournament of Champions

On Tuesday, 5 November, three students began their voyage to America for the World Scholars Cup ‘Tournament of Champions’ which is being held at the prestigious Yale University. Eathan Waters (Year 8), Alexis Chau (Year 9) and Samara Ballinger (Year 9) pictured, made it through the rigorous local and national World Scholars Cup rounds this year, to successfully qualify for the international tournament. Since qualifying in Sydney, the team have spent months preparing for the final round. They have fundraised and studied tirelessly, and the time has now come for them to compete in this esteemed event. The talented trio will spend a week in New Haven, competing at Yale University against teams from over 60 countries in four different events, as well various cultural and social events around the campus.
