Our Enrolment Process – 6 Simple Steps

The College has reached capacity in most year levels, however as the Gold Coast is a transient city, positions can become available from time to time and current waiting lists are not too long.

If you wish to discuss enrolment and find out about current availability in the year levels you require for your children, please complete our Enrolment Enquiry Form.

Someone from the College Enrolments Team will be in contact with you as soon as possible.

We’ve made the enrolment journey as straightforward as possible. Here’s what to expect:

Step 1 – Submit an Enrolment Enquiry & Book a Tour

Start by completing our quick Enrolment Enquiry Form. Then, book a guided Executive College Tour to explore our campus, meet staff, and experience Hillcrest firsthand. Tours run most Tuesday mornings—bookings essential.

Step 2 – Prepare Your Documents

Before applying, gather key documents including:

Birth certificate, Passport/visa (if applicable)
Recent school reports, NAPLAN results (if available)
Medical/legal documentation (if relevant)

Step 3 – Complete the Online Application

Once you’re ready, complete the online application form for the appropriate entry point; an application fee may apply, which will be listed in the online application.

Step 4 – Application Review

Our team carefully reviews each application.

If a place is available, we’ll progress to the next step. If a year level is full, your child will be placed on the waiting list, and we’ll stay in touch.

Step 5 – Attend an Enrolment Interview

We’ll invite you and your child to meet with our Executive Head of College or a senior team member. It’s a friendly conversation where we get to know your child and discuss Hillcrest’s values and expectations.

Step 6 – Receive & Accept Your Offer

If successful, you’ll receive an Offer of Enrolment by email.

To accept, simply pay the enrolment fee within 14 days. Once confirmed, we’ll send you everything you need to prepare for a smooth and confident start.

Main Entry Years

Hillcrest Christian College has a limited number of intakes and we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible. The College offers Pre-Kindy to Year 12 with main enrolment intakes in the following:

Kindy (Pre-School)

Kindy is the main form of entry into the College and is provided priority enrolment into Prep.

Prep

Our Junior Learning Community has very limited intake for Prep each year as priority is provided to pre-existing Kindy enrolments.

Year 3

Our Junior Learning Community has a very limited intake for Year 3.

Year 5

This is the alternate entry if you wish to consider later enrolment. Hillcrest Christian College does not offer a formal Year 7 intake. We offer a dedicated Middle Learning Community (MLC) from Years 5-8 to support students as they transition and develop during adolescence.
To ensure you don’t miss out, we encourage you to enrol in Year 5 where you join the dedicated Middle Learning Community as an important transitional phase for students social wellbeing and development.
The learning opportunities, experiences and wellbeing framework are specifically tailored to the Adolescent years. Please refer to our Middle Learning Community for more information or talk to our enrolments team for a College Tour.

Years 10-12

Our Senior Learning Community has limited positions available for students wishing to complete their educational pathway at Hillcrest. Hillcrest also offers specific and a large variety of Pathways to provide the support and Pathways for personal interests and strengths.
