Our College

Social Media Guidelines

As adults, it is our responsibility to model for our children the appropriate use of Social Media. Using sites such as Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram to challenge others about their approach to an issue, is not the place or the way. We need to model to our young people that if they have a problem, feel uncomfortable, or want to discuss a significant issue, it is best done face to face in a real conversation.

We provide Facebook pages to our College community as a way to connect families, to acknowledge our student achievements, to celebrate College life through photos and videos, and to provide reminders regarding College-related matters. We have seen some members of our community misusing Facebook to raise concerns regarding specific subjects, teachers, and in some cases, students. Posting on Social Media does not provide the College, or the person targeted, with the opportunity to adequately address the issue, and conversations on our pages that cannot be addressed on the platform, will be closed for further discussion. Specific references to staff, students or parents (directly or indirectly) about concerns in any Facebook forum are inappropriate, do not adhere to our College's Social Media guidelines, and will be removed.

We urge families to contact the College directly if they have any concerns regarding their son or daughter’s education. We are here to listen, and we work hard to provide the best learning environment we can.
