Our College
Hillcrest offers an extensive bus service for students travelling to and from our College each day. We have our own fleet of modern, air-conditioned buses which are all equipped with three-point seat belts and installed with event cameras for safety along with Rollcall App service.
Our bus routes travel South to Casuarina Beach in Northern NSW, West to the Gold Coast Hinterland, and North as far as Runaway Bay. We also provide trips to and from the Varsity Lakes Train Station.

You are no longer required to complete a new application each term. The process only requires you to make payment via Rollcall at the beginning of the term. Your traveling students will be marked as paid. Travel will continue as usual.
Casual bus travel is paid as a (PAYG) pay as you go basis.
After you have submitted the application form one of our bus drivers will contact you regarding the best pick-up/drop-off locations and times.

From the Rollcall App you can set pick up and drop off locations, a secondary carer as well as make your bus payment. Bus payments need to be made prior to using the buses.

We have seven bus routes which are shown in the maps below and indicate major stops, as well as the approximate times for these stops. Each route has an AM and a PM map as they can be slightly different. Our routes are subject to some infrequent changes which will be communicated to parents.
The College offers a free service to and from Varsity Lakes Train Station and the College. It is essential to register via Rollcall for this service which enables notifications when students get on and off buses.
The College is excited to introduce the RollCall School bus management system. RollCall keeps parents and the College informed and alerted about children’s intended and actual bus trips with real-time tracking. The system uses ‘smart tags/cards’ with advanced device-bus tracking technology to give parents and the College full visibility of students travelling on our buses.
Families purchase their bus pass and indicate their pickup, drop-off point and days per week.
Parents will receive a welcome email from RollCall (to your College registered email address), explaining how to download the App (with parent portal). The RollCall parent portal will allow you to manage several aspects of your children’s bus travel. Some of the functions that you will have include:
Hillcrest provides all students who use the bus system an initial travel card free of charge in Term 1. Any replacement cards will then be charged at $7 per card.
