3JT and 3JY's Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum Visit

Last week, it was 3JT and 3JY's turn to step back in time on their excursion to Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum. The venue offered amazing historical accuracy, and enthusiastic volunteers who acted out days gone by. Students loved the experience of writing on slate, and washing and drying clothes using an old copper pot and mangle, taught by Grandma Coppa. Students were astonished to learn that early Australian timber loggers not only slept in the bush, but also worked seven days a week. The day concluded with a small group exploration of the whole site, where teams searched to answer riddle clues by finding particular olden day treasures and locations.
