We were excited to celebrate our inaugural Mother and Daughter date on Saturday, 19 May, with over 250 mothers and daughters from our JLC community. The beautiful autumn afternoon provided the perfect backdrop for this special celebration which included a gourmet High Tea, arts and craft stalls, guest speakers, live musicians, free professional portrait photography, and of course great company!
Mums and daughters shared some valuable conversations about the journey into womanhood, and enjoyed the chance to learn from each other. Culture-building events like this form part of The Hillcrest Way framework, and help to build and shape our College community in a positive and powerful way. Thank you to all of our amazing Hillcrest mums and their daughters for coming along and making this event such a success.
We would like to acknowledge some incredible people who made this event a reality...
Thanks to our dedicated Hillcrest staff for their time and effort in coordinating this event: Rachel Arnold, Liz Snowden, Hayley Campbell, Megan Williamson, Mel Hunt, Jadee Lewis, Marnie Govorko, and Anne Thomas.
Many thanks also to Katie and Marg Moore, our guest speakers; Kiely Hudson for the music; Michelle Antoneemootoo for the photography gift to our guests, and Renee Watson, Hillcrest parent and owner of Sirfloat Events, for her generous contribution toward catering.
