Hillcrest has partnered with Agape Outreach over the past few years, where the focus is on supporting the homeless people in our local community. We have regularly taken students to Coolangatta to help serve with meals and provide clothing donations.
This week we took year 9 students to serve a meal that the Year 12 home economics class prepared. Serving at the forefront not only allows our students to demonstrate God’s love at a practical level, it also is an eye opener for how our fellow community members are living. This creates awareness and equips Hillcrest students to serve at a greater capacity.
Year 9’s were also involved in a large scale carwash fundraiser where all the funds raised are helping to buy tarps, socks, sleeping bags, jumpers and meals. Over 30 cars were washed and over $450 raised.
