Beach to Beach walk

On Saturday, students and staff from Years 10-12 participated in Hillcrest’s annual Beach to Beach walk and head shave, to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.

After an early breakfast, the group left Burleigh at 7am for Southport, arriving at Main Beach just after 10am.

Once at Southport, seven students had their heads shaved to raise awareness and funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. The students were: Jacky Choy, Daisy Handley, Josh Lee, Liam Scott and Dylan Wright from Year 12, and Liam Godfrey and Ian Lee from Year 11.

We are very proud of our students for the active way they participated in this fundraising event.

There is still time for you to be involved and I am sure the students would love, and be very blessed, to receive your donation. To donate, please go to the World’s Greatest Shave’s website (https://worldsgreatestshave.com), click on the Sponsor button and search for the student’s name or for Hillcrest Christian College.

With the money from the walk and individual student’s fundraising, it is anticipated that Hillcrest students will raise over $4000 for the Leukaemia Foundation.

An outstanding effort.
