Bushwalking for Duke of Edinburgh Bronze

Our Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award participants spent Saturday, 3 March - Sunday, 4 March trekking through Lamington National Park. The two-day Adventurous Journey focussed on leadership, teamwork and perseverance, as students carried a back pack with all of their camping gear for the 27km bushwalk.

Armed with a topographical map of the area, route plan, compass and radio, each student took turns leading the expedition for a section of the journey, which saw the group navigate through lush rainforests, surrounded by natural beauty, as they explored some of God’s incredible creation.

Congratulations to our Bronze Award participants Abbey and Zac Gibbs, Skye Turner, Maddie Wade, Jack Johnson, Logan Chapman and Sam Schooley for successfully completing this adventure with care and compassion toward their teammates.
