On Saturday, August 12, around 230 Year 6 boys and their dads had an awesome time at the inaugural Father and Sons night! From checking out rally cars and Pastor Dave's red Corvette, to an interview with some of our famous fathers, Tug-o-War, bushwalking, bonfires and hours of soccer, the night off was a huge success.
Other exciting highlights included a panel interview with our famous sporting dads - Paul Pyyvaara (Aus Rally Champion) Danny Chou (Dual Mr World Natural Body Building Champion) and Ben Hannant (NRL Champ, Origin and National Team member), the all-in Tug-o-War: Dads vs Boys vs the Rally car, and the BBQ cooked by our SLC boys. All-in-all, a great event, with lots of bonding time for our Fathers and Sons. Watch a video from the Father and Son Night.
Executive Head of College Jeff Davis attended the event with his son, and commented “This truly was an amazing event, and one of the most positive culture-building experiences I have experienced in a long time. My sincere thanks and appreciation goes to everyone involved in the organisation and running of this incredible event.”
