On Thursday, 15 August, 10 SLC students will travel to Sydney for six days, to compete in the Global Round of the World Scholar's Cup.
In teams of three, our Hillcrest representatives will compete against more than 2,000 students from more than 30 countries, in Team Debating, Collaborative Writing and General Knowledge testing (subjects include: Social Studies, History, Science, Art & Music and Literature).
The jam-packed schedule also includes the Scholar’s Show (a talent show), a Scavenger Hunt through Sydney city, The Scholar’s Cultural Fair (a celebration of the diverse origins of the countries represented), The Scholar’s Ball and a dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour.
Successful teams will qualify for the Tournament of Champions to be held at Yale University in November this year.
