On Thursday, 13 June, three JLC netball teams travelled to All Saints to compete in the 2019 Gretel Tippet Cup. The Year 4 team, coached by Mrs Snowdon, enjoyed their first school gala day experience and improved significantly throughout the day. They cheered on the older girls and gave 100% to their team on the court. The Year 5 team, coached by Mrs Pohlmann, placed 4th with some incredibly tight games. They also grew in confidence and their combinations developed over the course of the day. The Year 6 team, coach by Nikki Ross, placed 5th, also with some incredibly tight games. They relished the opportunity to play as a Year 6 team for the final time.
Students are to be commended for their incredible sportsmanship throughout the day. It was delightful to see the girls give 100% to the sport, but also to supporting their friends and respecting the coaches. Students also enjoyed meeting Australian Goal Attack, Gretel Tippet, and savoured the photo opportunities.
