Hillcrest Artists Receive a Sweep of Awards

During the 2019 July holidays, our students' artwork was entered into the prestigious d’Arcy Doyle Art Exhibition. We would like congratulate all students whose work was entered, and a particular mention to our award winners:

  • Trisong Yangzom - Primary People’s Choice prize for her silhouette artwork
  • Sarah Wilson – Middle Years: 2nd Place
  • Jhaz Singsam – Middle Years: Encouragement Award

We would also like to to congratulate Bridie Fletcher from Year 10, who won several awards at the Mudgeeraba Art Show this year. Bridie's breadth of artistic talent was very apparent in the wide range of awards she collected for her artworks, including:

  • 1st Place Sculpture 2nd Place Oil Painting
  • 2nd Place Mindfulness Colouring
  • 2nd Place Work in Clay
  • High Achievement Oil painting
  • High Achievement Creative embroidery
  • Secondary Fine Arts Overall Winner

Our visual art students have been working hard at developing and resolving their works, we are very proud of their efforts so far this year.
