Hillcrest has been named one of the most innovative schools in the country. The school was selected as part of the Educator’s 5-Star Innovative Schools Awards for 2022, which recognise Australian Schools at the forefront of ground-breaking educational programs and initiatives.
“Education is ripe for disruption, ...The traditional model in schools or universities could change drastically over the next 10 or 20 years. What we saw during the pandemic is that different methods of teaching and online classes can work.”Alex Robson - Productivity Commission Deputy Chair. The Productivity Commission, is Australian government’s advisory body on economic and school affairs.
The Educator’s 5-Star Innovative School award recognises the schools at the forefront of change and innovation. From teaching approaches to learning spaces and curriculum design, the report looks at schools reshaping the future of education and pioneering a new direction in learning and teaching.
After a vigorous judging process, the report narrowed down to the country’s most forward-thinking schools, which make up The Educator’s 5-Star Innovative Schools 2022 list.
Hillcrest was included as one of only eight independent schools to receive the award across Australia.
