At assembly Wed 26th April for the JLC, 8 students received Term 1 Science subject awards. Each year level had an Academic Achievement Award and also an Encouragement Award. Both students from each year level demonstrated keen scientific understanding, a willingness to apply their scientific skills and an interest in finding out more in the scientific realm. It is really encouraging to see girls strongly represented as science has been misperceived at times for being a male domain. Well done boys and girls for your efforts.

Year 4 last week were experimenting with gravity in the footsteps of Galileo. They experimented with the force of gravity as well as inertia and wind to see just whether heavier or lighter objects fall faster.
