Koala Spotting at Coombabah Conservation Park

The challenge of spotting more than nine koalas in the wild, was set in the early part of 2019, after one of our Year 6 teachers told her class about her exciting trip to Coombabah.

Then on Thursday, 21 November, the time had finally come for the group of very excited students to venture to Coombabah Lakelands conservation area, to enjoy their very own koala spotting adventure, and end an amazing year of learning and discovery. They spotted seven koalas in total, and a few kangaroos and dragon lizards. They all enjoyed a picnic lunch at Broadwater parklands on the way back to Hillcrest, to finish off a fun day outdoors. Lots of koala trivia and facts were learned along the way!
