Our First Interhouse Carnival for 2019

The JLC Swimming Carnival held last Tuesday, 5 February, was an amazing start to this year’s interhouse sports competitions, as our Years 3-6 students set the atmosphere at the beginning of the day with worship and passionate House war cries. It was incredible to see the participation and effort of each student as they pushed their personal limits, and although the data collectors worked overtime to add new nominees to the races, it was a great reflection of the student’s willingness to extend themselves and try something new. The day was filled with cheers and colour as students supported their Houses and each other. The House leaders and Year 6 students were exceptional in their involvement throughout the day, and embraced their leadership roles whole-heartedly. The House Spirit award presented to Taylor House for their amazing effort and peer encouragement. Well done Taylor!

Special congratulations to Ava Usher and Isabella Baker who flew through the pool to beat some long-held records. Amazing work girls!
