While the stories of Dr Seuss are colourful and crazy their combination of rhyming and nonsense words serve as a linguistic boot camp for kids. The words also have a rhythm and "beat" to them enabling our dear Preppies to understand when a combination of words start and stop. But putting colourful sox on and having a crazy day, just makes learning fun.
Preppies discovered a class of topsy turvy upside down tables, umbrellas upside down from the roof and crazy colouring on the underside of tables. These fun activities engaged and delighted our students while immersed themselves in the amazing writing and rhythm of Dr Suess. Activities included making a Fox in Sox puppet, word jumbles, interactive games on the screen and making and colouring.
