Racing Star Luke Pink Crowned #1 in Australia

It was announced on Sunday at the Melbourne Todd Road Go-Kart Track, prior to the Grand Final, that 14-year old Hillcrest Christian College student, Luke Pink, was the first Australian Karting Champion for 2019 in the Elite KA2 Junior Category, after achieving a season 44-point advantage in his first year in this grade. 

This incredible award adds yet another title to Luke's impressive list of achievements to date in his event, which have included:

  • 5 times Queensland State Champion
  • Current Queensland State Champion
  • Current New South Wales State Champion
  • Winner of the Race of Stars 2018
  • Qualified for the USA Super National 2018

In two weeks' time, Luke will travel to Albury in Melbourne to complete in the super quick Rotax Max Pro Tour 2019, Luke's favourite class, which he has already amassed a large points advantage in, and meaning he will now race in the World Championship KA2 Elite, representing Australia and flying the Aussie flag in the Rotax World Series in Italy.

Luke has also been invited to race in the United Kingdom but has declined due to school commitments. Channel Nine have also started following this successful athlete's career ad are filming him this week at the Pimpama Go Kart track.
