On Wednesday, 29 May, students from Years 7 - 9 participated in Round 2 of the QLD Cricket Secondary Schools T20 Challenge. The match was played under a beautiful blue sky at the Mudgeeraba Nerang Districts Cricket Club against Marymount College. Bowling first, Hillcrest was able to restrict Marymount to 119 from their 20 overs. It looked like the boys would get there up until the very last over. Although the close nature of the loss was tough to handle, the students were able to learn from the match and become better young men of character through the experience. Playing highlights once again included captain, Lachlan Aitken, scoring 64 of Hillcrest’s total of 113. Well done to our cricket team on a very competitive match!
