SLC Tutoring Schedule

SLC Free Supervised Study Sessions and Tutors

The Senior Learning Community (SLC) provides a 'Tutoring Program' after school for Year 9-12 students. This is a free service, and an excellent opportunity for small groups to support and learn from each other with the guidance of Student Tutors. The Tutors are some of our top academic past students, who are currently studying at various Universities.

During Term 1, these Student Tutors will be available for assistance with Mathematics, Science, English and Humanities. The sessions will take place during Lunch from 12:40pm - 1:20pm (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday); as well as after school (Monday to Friday) from 3:00pm to 4:30pm in the Resource Centre. These operate from Week 3 to Week 9. Students are required to book themselves in at the reception desk sign-in register.

Math Faculty Supervised Study Sessions

The Hillcrest Mathematics Faculty will be hosting two afternoon supervised study sessions per week for students in Years 7-12. The sessions will take place on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:15pm-4:15pm in Room 26 and Room 27. Each room will have several Maths teachers available to assist groups of students with their Maths work. Students should not expect to receive individual tutoring for the duration of the session. (Please note that these sessions will not run in Week 4 due to other meetings scheduled)

Senior Subject Supervised Study Sessions

Senior subjects in certain Faculties will offer supervised study sessions for their classes on a weekly basis, and will be communicating these sessions to their individual classes. These sessions will run from Week 3 to Week 8.

We would encourage students to utilise this wonderful opportunity to support and extend their learning.

Blessings,
