On Wednesday 22 August, Mr Davis, along with Hillcrest staff and parents, attended the 2018 Mayor’s Telstra Technology Award finals at Bond University. Hillcrest's team had surpassed strong competition and gained the opportunity to pitch their innovative idea to Councillor Hermann Vorste,r for the final round of this prestigious competition.
Hillcrest teacher, Josh Smith, had worked tirelessly with the team of four students from Years 10 and 11, to build a real confidence in the quality of their product and design. Their preparation and hard work was evident as they presented a highly professional pitch on the night. While their idea was not the winning concept, their representation of Hillcrest was a stand out, and our College community is very proud of their success in making it into the finals.
