On Friday, 16 August, we welcomed Zeek Power, and the team from Youth Alive Gold Coast, to the SLC Gathering at Hillcrest, as they promoted Youth Alive's United We Stand 19 event. Zeek became well known for his success on 'The Voice' Australia, where he came third overall in this year's season of the popular show.
Zeek is passionate about Jesus and shared with our students how he has trusted in God throughout his life, and has always tried to use the gifts God has given him to bring glory to God. Zeek and the YA team, joined in praise, alongside our own Hillcrest SLC worship band, before Zeek performed for the students, and spent time chatting with them.
Youth Alive'sUnited We Stand 19 event was held on the Gold Coast on Friday night, and more than 100 Hillcrest students attended the event, with over 1,000 other young people from across the Coast. United We Stand events were held at over 100 locations across Australia on the same night, with over 30,000 young people attending to make a stand for Jesus.
Zeek is also about to begin his own music tour, performing in cities around Australia.
