Year 4 Students Enjoy an Outdoor Science Lesson

On Monday August 7, our Year 4 students ventured out of the classroom for an excursion to Numinbah Valley Education Centre.

Numinbah Valley Environmental Education Centre is an Education Queensland facility, that promotes a greater awareness and understanding of the natural environment. The Centre offered a fantastic opportunity for our junior learners to explore the local flora and fauna, with an outdoor science lesson. They loved learning about the different plants in the valley that the Aboriginal people used, and had fun building humpies and playing hunting games.

The highlight of the day for our Year 4s was learning about Australian wildlife, and having a close encounter with some Australian animals, including 'Greta' the friendly python.
