Two of our student athletes returned to school this week after representing Queensland in the Australian U18 National Basketball Championships last week in Geelong.
Tara Manumaleuga was a key member of the Queensland South women’s team, who finished in 8th place in the tournament. Tara played in all nine games and averaged 9.2 points per game.
Elias Cato represented Queensland South in the men’s team and averaged 10.3 points per game. The Queensland South men’s team played off in the grand final, but unfortunately lost to a strong West Australia Metro men’s team, to bring home a silver medal.
Well done Tara and Elias for representing our state and Hillcrest Christian College with pride and excellence.
