This week, from 13 - 16 August, all Prep - 6 students at Hillcrest participated in an exciting, problem-based ‘Fun with Maths’ incursion. Students engaged in a range of complex, problem-based challenges that required them to use a variety of strategies to discover a solution. Working in pairs, the students investigated a range of puzzles, musical instruments, mazes and logical thinking activities, some of which left even the teachers perplexed! It was wonderful to see the students having fun as they applied their knowledge and understanding of Mathematics in this hands-on environment.
