Preparing our Student Leaders for Success

On Wednesday, 9 October, our 2020 Year 12 student cohort attended a 'Leadership Activation' Day at Currumbin Creek. They completed a range of activities in House groups and were each given a specific role, where they had to identify the impact of their contribution. They had to problem solve, self-assess, provide feedback and look to improve with trial and error, as they worked through the activities.

As part of the briefing and debriefing, stories and examples of the College mission and values were embedded. On reflection, students could easily articulate the values they had to explore throughout the day:

  • Respect
  • Servanthood
  • Integrity
  • Courage
  • Humility
  • Diligence
  • Discernment

Students had a fun day and really enjoyed the opportunity to learn and grow in a new environment. They particularly loved being together as the first Year 12 cohort to start in Term 4. They are looking forward to the year ahead!
