Preppies Go Wild at Their Very First Excursion

Our Preppies finished Term 2 at Hillcrest with an absolute highlight, as they ventured off campus for their very first College excursion. On Wednesday 20 June, the youngest members of our Hillcrest community headed off to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary where they had a blast watching the sheep shearing show and seeing the brilliant bird show.

They fed kangaroos and got up close with koalas, wombats, crocodiles and emus, just to name a few. To finish the memorable experience, they all enjoyed a dance with Blinky Bill, the giant koala.

The children especially loved riding to and from the Sanctuary on the school bus, with a quiet journey back to school as many Preppies fell asleep after their big day. Thanks to our amazing parent helpers who joined us on the day!
