Olivia and Lucas Soegaard have been busy over the recent holidays and into Term 3 on the sporting arena, and both young athletes completed in State Championships in their respective sports, achieving the following results.
Queensland Junior Road Cycling Championships
Lucas competed for the Gold Coast Cycling Club and individually achieved a triple-state championship, winning all three of his events.
Queensland Cross Country Championships
Lucas competed in the South Coast Team at the Queensland State Cross Country Championships last weekend, and placed 9th in a huge field of 80 runners. In the relay event, his team finished in 4th position.
Interschool Eventing and Combined Training Queensland Championships
Olivia competed for Hillcrest in the Championships and came away with Champion Primary Combined training (CT80) and Reserve Champion Pre-Intro Eventing (Primary and Secondary combined).
Her results earned her a golden ticket invitation onto the State team to compete at the the Interschool Nationals. She and her horse Sarova Park Paparazzi 'Paris' will be making the trek to Sydney to compete at the Nationals in September, 2019.
