This week one of the greatest contests of willpower and determination was held in QLD, and afterwards there was a game of footy. On Wednesday, Hillcrest hosted Round 4 of the Gold Coast Senior B Debating tournament. This term we have seen topics ranging from “We should focus on experiencing life not documenting it” all the way to “Every country should have the right to possess nuclear weapons” but this final round gave us the hardest yet. “Is Australia’s relationship with the United States still relevant.” In a show of school pride all four teams bring home the win, meaning we now have three of four teams making their way into the finals next term. Unfortunately, not everyone has the rest of the term off. Our Junior B team still has one more debate next week which will decide if they make it into the finals.
