ESL Students Seek the Ear of the College Board

ESL STUDENTS SEEK THE EAR OF THE COLLEGE BOARD

Throughout the term our Year 11 and 12 ESL students have been writing letters to our College Board regarding ideas on how to continue to develop the outdoor learning environment at Hillcrest Christian College.

Last week both year levels, met with two representatives of the College Board, Mr Alan King and Dr Tony Woods, in the College Boardroom and presented their ideas on the future development of our College. These ideas included optimising the College lake to become a multi-use space that includes an educational space for Science, a recreation space and a wildlife sanctuary. The students also suggested planting a fruit tree orchard and a vegetable garden to encourage healthy eating and sustainable living.

It was a successful meeting with Mr King and Dr Woods interested in the ideas suggested by the ESL students. We wish to thank the Board representatives for their time and support.
