A gathering of talented minds in the JLC demonstrated their prowess in the latest Gardiner Chess Interschool Competition. Students had an amazing time playing seven rounds of chess against students from across the Gold Coast. The JLC was led by a stunning performance by Hugh Cullen, who won six games out of seven and placing second in B division. Other performances of merit included: Luca Nathan, Charlie Cullen, Morgan Brosnan, Timothy Gregory, Alexander Pampuch, Jacob Duduc, Finn Harris, Elijah Welsh and Taylor Paterson-Crowe. To put their performance in perspective, for many of the students attending this was their first tournament! Please congratulate them for their success.
