The 2020 SLC Swimming Carnival was a day filled with colour, cheer and a lot of fast swim times in the pool. The Taylor House lifeguards set the standard in safety, while flower power was on display as Greene House brought back the sixties. The Carmichael Pirates were lead by their mighty Captain Mr Taylor, who fought off the circling sharks from Flynn house. The seniors from all four Houses set the scene by leading their respective Houses in dress-ups, war cries and participation in the pool. Greene House walked away with the House Spirit award, while Taylor House snatched a close victory from Carmichael to win the House trophy as overall champions, after successfully accumulating the most points on the day.
We had a number of records broken throughout the day, and we cannot wait to see how Hillcrest performs at the upcoming Hinterland Swimming Districts competition. We would like to thank all students, staff and parents, who participated in and supported this incredible event, and we look forward to an exciting Cross Country Carnival in Term 2.
