Last Tuesday, 11 February, renowned author and award-winning librarian, Megan Daley, presented at our first Parent Partners night of the year. She spoke about what reading looks like in the 21st century, gave parents tips for both reluctant and keen readers, and gave many examples of quality texts that are suitable for a variety of ages. She highlighted the value of picture books for all children, and also discussed the merits of reading aloud to your child, even into the ‘tween’ stage.
