This term Year 4 has been learning about the Christian church and how churches support people in the local community.As part of their investigations the Year 4 cohort along with 3/4 Lumos visited Reedy Creek Baptist Church on Monday, 22 May to learn more about the role of a church and the people that work there. The students had fantastic morning singing some of their favourite GIG songs and interviewing the different staff members about their roles and responsibilities. The children asked some very relevant and insightful questions about how the staff support the local church and reach out to wider local, national and international communities before touring the facilities. We would like to say a big thank you to Pastor Andrew, Pastor Brony, Miss Jenna and Mrs Shey who warmly welcomed us and helped the students to observe community service in action.
