Students and parents from Year 5 mainstream entered a world of pure imagination on Monday afternoon. They entered the gates to the Willy Wonka factory (which temporarily located to the hub deck) and participated in a feast that included delights like edible sand, edible dirt, fire cupcakes and chocolate spoons. After they had delighted their senses, they settled in to watch “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” in preparation for their novel study this term. It was such a fun evening with parents, students and teachers. Where else do you get to hear someone say, “I got you some sand and pond water to eat” and mean it?
